Winter Wonderland

WOW, it has been a crazy busy spring. I just realized today that I haven't posted to this blog in forever. I was looking through my pictures and found some from our winter snow storms that I wanted to share. Initially, I thought it was a little crazy to post snow pictures in May, but then I remembered that the last snow storm we had was only a month ago. How crazy is that?!

The first storm happened in February as soon as we returned from our family ski trip in Colorado. We got in town just in time to get settled and stock up on food before the sky opened up. Once it started, it did not stop for days. I took two personal days for our ski trip and then we had three more snow days, so I got a nice little week off in February. It was fantastic. Between backyard adventures, snowman building, sledding, and lots and lots of hot chocolate and movie nights in front of a fire, we had so much fun.

One of my favorite sights in the whole world is our backyard covered in snow. Our very own Winter Wonderland ...

Frosty was feeling a little adventurous this year ...

Unfortunately, his craziness was short lived ...

A couple of months later, right in the middle of spring, we got hit with another little snow storm. Spring flowers and budding trees dusted in white ... unexpected, but surprisingly beautiful.
