She is getting so strong! She can just about flip over from her back to her stomach. She always gets stuck with her arm under herself and can't quite get over that hump! We have also officially transitioned from a full swaddle at night to a swaddle with her arms loose. Even with her arms out, she is still really good about going to bed awake and falling asleep on her own within 10-15 minutes. She has done this since she was born, which is so awesome. She is still sleeping pretty well through the night, but usually wakes up when she has twisted/rotated herself into a compromising position or when she loses her pacifier and wants it back. It's amazing how we find her when we check on her sometimes. How does a baby in a swaddle manage to rotate herself 180 degrees or flip onto her stomach in the middle of the night?!
Some more random updates:
Ella has finally figured out that she has hands and can use them to grab stuff. She likes to do this when we are pulling her out of her car seat or bouncy seat, which makes it really hard to get her out :).
She is always "talking" and making noises, especially at night before she goes to bed.
She is constantly smirking and smiling at us and is so close to giggling.
She has to be strapped into everything she sits in, because she is a squirmer and will wiggle her way right out of anything!
I think bath time is still Ella's favorite time of the night ... she LOVES baths!
She also loves snuggling up with blankets in her face or her new teddy bear lovey. Here are some pics of her snoozing with it.
Some prop action so baby Ellasyn could feed herself!
We call this her "scream" face ... like the mask in the movie :)
