Ellabean

Somehow, Ella earned the nickname "Ellabean". I think it started because it just sounds natural to say "bean" after Ella, like jelly bean ... it kinda rolls off the tongue. Lately, the nickname has been condensed to "the bean", among others: little monster, Ella Bella (nana's nickname), sis or sissy, sweet pea, and sugar bean. I'm sure there are more - they just seem to pop out of our mouth when we see her! Sometimes they come out and they really don't make sense. For example, once her grandma Heeter called her "poop scoop" and another time, "little pussy". She didn't think anything of it at the time, but we were all cracking up ... did she really just say that?? So funny!

Ella LOVES:

Bananas, people-watching, vibrating teethers, belly kisses, being tossed up into the air, "wiggles", chewing on paper or books, music, silly songs, her dog Marley, and rides in the stroller

Ella's aunt Rachel was in town for a KC Ballet audition. We had so much fun hanging out with her and aunt Emily!

Watching an "e-book" on the computer .. she loved it!

I made these amazing cupcakes (thanks to my friend Sarah's "buttcake" buttercream recipe). I wanted to see what Ella would do with it ... don't worry, I'm the one who licked it off her fingers!
