25 Week Check-Up

We had our 25 week check-up this week, which was very exciting. First, I had to have my gestational diabetes test, which was not as bad as I thought it would be, but definitely not pleasant. Have you ever tried to drink syrup? That's exactly what that stuff tasted like, except it was an enticing lemon lime flavor - yum.

Next came the big sonogram. Grandma and Grandpa Heeter even came to see their very first granddaughter in action. Right away, we noticed that she was sucking away on her thumb. I didn't even know that was possible in utero!

They checked her brain, heart, bone structure, etc and everything was perfect ... what a relief. At one point, we were able to see her smacking her lips and her tongue was moving in and out of her mouth! We also got a great picture of her holding her hands up and you can see all her little fingers. Now we just have to wait a few months to meet our little girl in person. We have never been more excited about anything!
